It's A Good Day to Be Loved...
In the mail. With a stamp on it.
It wasn’t elaborate. Just a simple note: “Thank you for being a friend.”
But somehow, it changed everything.
I had been carrying one of those days - the kind that leaves you a little tired, a little worried, a little overwhelmed by work and life. And then… that card.
Instant shift.
The rest of my evening felt lighter.
My thoughts softened.
My heart settled into a kind of quiet happiness that’s hard to explain, but easy to feel.
All from a few handwritten words.
It made me think - what if we all did this for just one person?
Once a week. Once a month, even.
It doesn’t have to be a card.
It could be a text. An email. A voice note.
Just something unexpected.
No agenda. No return expected.
Just a small moment that says, “You matter. I thought of you today.”
Because that’s what it really was - a reminder.
That none of us are too busy to be kind.
That no one is more important than anyone else.
And that we all need a little light, every now and then.
So today, I bought a stack of cards. And some stamps.
It feels like time to pass that feeling forward - to be part of someone else’s unexpected moment of joy.
It’s a good day to be loved.
And an even better day to love.
